How the experience works

Players enter the game area and respond to illuminated targets associated with their assigned colour. The handbook describes reaching and pressing the targets with different parts of the body, with solo or simultaneous multiplayer participation. Its listed formats include connecting targets, twisting coordination and a competitive format. Demonstrate the selected rules and permitted movements before finalising the game.

Where it can fit

Consider a coordination room in a family entertainment centre, a group active-play concept or an indoor leisure venue with supervised sessions. Compare it with a reaction wall: the Octopus format emphasises assigned colours and wider reaching movements, while a reaction-wall brief can focus on timed target tapping. Choose according to audience, available reach space and how the activity complements other rooms.

Before you specify the room

Provide a dimensioned room plan, target wall dimensions, floor condition, intended audience and proposed group size. Mark door positions, waiting areas and staff sightlines. Review target heights, reach distances, separation between players, floor grip, cleaning and stop procedures. Movement suitability and accessible alternatives require a project-specific review.

Target layout shapes the experience

The configuration shows touch targets distributed across a play surface. Request the proposed target count, positions, controls and currently available modes, along with the supported reset and result functions. Reach height and distance should follow the reviewed audience and room. The photograph does not establish a universal player capacity or an adjustable-height mechanism.

Brief, supervise and reset

Explain assigned colours and permitted movements before each session. Define how players share the target area and stop if movement paths conflict. Review start, reset, cleaning and target inspection with the operator. Session length and rotation should be tested with the agreed game rather than inferred from the number of visible targets.

Define the quotation around your venue

Share your location, room drawing, audience, project stage and desired opening date. Explain whether you need one coordination activity or a connected mix with floor, climbing or reaction games. Ask for equipment and content, mounting, software, commissioning, spare parts and ongoing support to be itemised; confirm the destination documentation and installation responsibilities.

Questions before you buy

Is Octopus the same as a timed reaction wall?

Both use visible targets, but the described Octopus game assigns colours and involves wider body-reaching and coordination. Compare demonstrations of the actual modes to decide whether you need one format or both.

How many people can play at the same time?

The handbook describes one or more players but does not state a verified maximum for every configuration. The target layout, available movement space, game mode and supervision plan determine the agreed capacity.

Is 4.5 × 4.5 m enough for my room?

That is the handbook example, approximately 20 m². Target placement, doors, circulation, staff and waiting space still need review. Supply the room drawing before treating it as a suitable footprint.

Does the game guarantee fitness or rehabilitation outcomes?

No outcomes are established by the product page. It describes an entertainment game mechanic. A training or health application needs an independently reviewed protocol, suitable supervision and evidence appropriate to that use.

Choose your project scale

Choose Starter for a defined coordination room, Pro for a complementary multi-room journey or Flagship for the full venue brief. The selected targets, content, software and installation define the actual project scope.
