LED interactive floor vs projection floor
Compare the delivery method, space preparation and maintenance questions before choosing an interactive floor.
Two different ways to deliver an interactive surface
An LED floor displays light within the installed floor modules. A projection floor displays imagery onto a separate surface using a projector. The sensing method is a separate design decision; ask each supplier how movement is detected in the actual configuration.
What to check on site
For LED modules, ask about floor build-up, loading, cable routes and access to replace a module. For projection, ask about mounting, throw distance, ambient light, shadows and recalibration. Both need a plan for safe movement, cleaning and session operation.
Compare the full project cost
Compare equipment, content licences, installation, shipping, local duties, commissioning, maintenance and ongoing support. A lower equipment price may not mean a lower total project cost. Ask for the same scope and assumptions in each quotation.
A useful supplier demo
Test the proposed games under conditions similar to your venue. Review responsiveness, visibility, reset steps and maintenance access. Choose according to your audience and operating model; neither technology is universally the right choice.
